Emily VanCamp

Emily Irene VanCamp is a Canadian actress known for her leading roles on a number of TV shows, and for her enthralling acting in films. Her fan base is large on American and Canadian television. Emily first became interested when she saw her sister Katie performing in a film. Once she discovered her passion for acting, she began to take acting classes, and then going for auditions. She began with some commercials and was soon the role of a child actor on the Canadian television show, Are You afraid of the dark? In one single scene she appeared without speaking a word. In the year 15 she made her breakthrough when she became part of the WB program Glory Days. Although the show was canceled after only nine episodes, her performance was noticed by Dawson's Creek writer Greg Berlanti who cast her in his television show Everwood. Emily was also a dancer, as well as a photographer. Teen once named her one of the most talented actors under the age of twenty. The actress was named the 51st in Maxim's Hot 100 list of 2014.
