Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou is the youngest of four children born August 9, 1976, in Beaumont Puy of Domme. Audrey's parents, both a dental dentist and teacher, were aware of and supported their daughter's passion for acting and drama on a young stage. The support they provided is more than enough for Audrey to overcome her original goal of becoming a an animal scientist. The early success of her career and the rapid increase in recognition marked her as a young actor. When she graduated in 1998, her education, she was selected to be a part of Jeunes Premiers, a French TV talent-scouting programme which was run by Canal+. There she won the award for Best Young Actress in Beziers Festival of Young Actors. It was this that led her to begin her professional career as an actor. Tautou attended church and the Institut Catholique de Paris during her childhood, but she is now separating herself from the aforementioned societal influences. She pursued a career in modeling in addition to her acting work and is the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc and Chanel is often called the Chanel Muse. In addition to her acting career she also has an interest in photography. The actress recently showed some images during the Arles Film Festival with the title Superficial. The focus of her photography is celebrity, fame and the media that scrutinised her after her rise to fame in the film Amelie. Additionally, there are a number of photographs featuring her self. Audrey Tautou rose to fame and stardom with her major part in the film Le Fabuleux of Amelie Poulain. Amelie received international acclai the box office and was recognized at award ceremonies all over the world. It is the top-grossing French film made in America. After this film's success, Tautou appeared in a wide range of films including British dramas such as Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Long Sunday of fiancailles. She then moved to Hollywood with Ron Howard's direction of The Da Vinci Code, a Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code alongside Tom Hanks.
